REE kicked off their 2007/08 campaign with a fine victory over Edge Hill Red.

Matt Redshaw opened the scoring after 5 minutes, finishing neatly with a left foot cross shot.

REE went further ahead after 20 minutes, again through Redshaw, who then completed his hat-trick on 30 minutes to leave the Eagles three-nil up at half time.

The Eagles continued to dominate the second half, eventually adding a fourth goal through Sean Dunion.

REE could, and probably should have scored more, however the management took great delight in watching the team pass the ball well and having long periods of possession.
