Under 9s - Mid-Staffs Junior Football League - Division One.

Rocester Elkes Eagles 1 Wheaton Aston Juniors 1

A typical end of season game with neither team having anything left to play for and both squads depleted due to outside commitments.

The only goal from Eagles came from Jack Green to take his season total to 21 - well done Jack!

Team Captain Sam Chilvers finished the season as top goalscorer with 31 which is a brilliant effort, but with goals coming from all departments (even Marcus the goalkeeper scored one) the team have scored a lot of goals which contributed greatly to finishing as runners up.

A fantastic first season effort and hopefully if we all stick together and welcome a couple of new faces we can build on this for next season.

A big thank you to all parents/grandparents/relatives who have played a big part in supporting ferrying to and fro and generally making sure we have a team come rain or shine, this season seems to have been mostly rain as-well.

As we look forward to the Elkes tournament and also the presentation evening at Rocester club I have picked up our trophy (pictured) and the individual ones will be awarded at the presentation evening.

Again a big well done hope you all enjoyed the season.
