Under 9s - Mid-Staffs Junior Football League - Division One.

Game 1 - Rocester Elkes Eagles 3 Stonefield Warriors 1

A much improved performance after what was a bad couple of games the week before.

The game was dominated by our team and a string of saves kept the game at 2-0 half time.

With confidence very high it seemed the goals would come thick and fast after the break.

Not so, again the keeper stopping everything we could throw at him.

The warriors then got a scrappy goal to get back to 2-1 and a nervous couple of minutes passed before the team got back to dominating the game and killed it off with a last goal.

Game 2 - Wheaton Aston Juniors 0 Rocester Elkes Eagles 5

After a couple of minutes Sam picked the ball up and with a crisp right foot shot put it in the top right corner.

This set the scene and the players went after the game getting a 5-0 lead by half time.

The second half was going to go one of two ways - either same again and a cricket score or frustrating attempts and pegged back.

It finished 5-0 and although disappointed that the second half was fruitless the team were overjoyed at getting back to winning ways.
