The Rocester Elkes Eagles U-8's Red played two games at the Rowley Park venue in the Mid Staffs Junior League.

The first game was against Berkswich, which was a very entertaining contest with some good passing from REE enabing them to put pressure on the Berkswich defence. Only some brave defending and great work from the Berkswich keeper kept the score at 0-0.

The second game against Eccleshall Eagles Navy was end to end and closely contested.  The deadlock was finally broken when Matthew Gunn played a ball through to Morgan Harrison who raced passed the defender rounded the keeper and slotted the ball into the net.

Some great team work and solid defending gave the lads their well deserved first victory cheered on by the ever enthusiastic and supportive parents.
