Under 9s - Mid-Staffs Junior Football League - Division One.

Game 1 - Penkridge Juniors 0 Rocester Elkes Eagles 2

Much to the teams delight a lovely sunny morning and a fairly dry pitch.

They set off in a very determined manner and had several chances on goal before eventually a goal came from James Thorley.

We then started to get a lot more ball and started passing it around more before in the second half James again scored to give the team a cushion.

A good all round performance with another clean sheet, some great defending again giving us the platform to win.

Game 2 - Hawkins Sports Juniors 0 Rocester Elkes Eagles 3

Same again was the message and this time we started much better.

An early goal from Ollie Smith set us off and we again started to break well with some great interplay.

Two further goals, one from Sam and Ollie with his second gave us a comfortable 3-0 win.

Some good saves from their keeper kept the tally down and another clean sheet.

Two good performances keeping us top of the league by 1 point with one game in hand, scored 25 and only 3 conceded - well done all.
