Sunday 24th February 2008 Under 9s - Mid-Staffs Junior Football League - Rydal Shield. Match One Rocester Elkes Eagles 1 Topps 2000 2 What was always going to be a tough game against a team from a division above us was played to a very good standard by our players. Although we went an early goal down the players kept their heads up and a goal from Sam Chilvers gave us a narrow 2-1 defeat. Man of the match - Marcus Bloor (goalkeeper). Match Two Rocester Elkes Eagles 4 Wheaton Aston Juniors 1 Wheaton Aston were just a few places below us in the league and after such a positive first game the team came straight out from the start looking to put pressure on. Some very nice football from all areas of the pitch saw us run out comfortable winners 4-1, with the goals coming from Sam Chilvers (2), Harry Cooper and Jack Green.
