Under 15s - Staffordshire F.A. Youth Sunday Cup 4th Round.

Rocester Elkes Eagles 4 Bilbrook Juniors 5

REE went out of the Staffordshire County Youth Cup at the last 16 stage with a battling performance against Bilbrook Juniors.

Bilbrook started the game  on top, playing five across the middle and went ahead after 12 minutes.

REE equalised after 19 minutes through Matt Redshaw and that seemed to give Eagles some belief, however they went behind again when Jessup failed to hold a cross and a Bilbrook player easily rolled the ball into the empty net.

REE equalised on the stroke of half time through Michael McCarron's cooley taken penalty, after Greg Fearn had been upended in the box.

HT 2 : 2

REE didn't compete for the first 20 minutes of the second half, which allowed Bilbrook to score three goals, the first of which looked suspiciously offside.

The two others came in identical fashion when two free kicks were placed over Jessup's head and out of his reach.

At 2-5 down  REE then decided to try and make a game of it, getting the score back to 4 : 5 with ten minutes left with goals from Redshaw and Jez Redlar.

Try as they did for the final ten minutes Eagles couldn't get  back into the game, a mixture of both bad luck and a very dubious  offside decisions sealed their fate as they finished the game camped in the Bilbrook half. It just wasn't to be.

FT 4 : 5

Good Luck to Bilbrook Juniors in their quarter final tie.
